A 2011 Land Rover Defender 130, fully converted to electric power by Vintage Volts (Sweden) in partnership with Electric Classic Cars (ECC, Wales) — two of Europe's most respected names in classic-to-electric conversions. This is not a rendering. It's not a concept. It drives. It charges. And the bidding starts at one euro.

Behind it sit hundreds of hours of engineering, a Tesla-derived powertrain and a 200 kWh battery pack. After the conversion, we drove this Defender from Mid Wales to Sweden and down to Barcelona — over 6,000 km on public CCS fast chargers. Not just a showpiece, but a genuinely capable long-distance machine.

AN ELECTRIC heart inside a legendary British body

De originele dieselmotor is verdwenen. In plaats daarvan: een krachtige elektromotor, een van de grootste accupakketten ooit gemonteerd in een Defender, en een aandrijflijn die is teruggebracht tot de essentie. Geen versnellingsbak. Geen koppeling. Gewoon direct koppel naar alle vier de wielen.

Electric powertrain

Electric 300 HP motor and 200 kWh battery, driving all four wheels through the original prop-shafts. No gearbox, no clutch — just instant torque from zero.

Roof rack

Custom-fabricated roof rack sits up top. Ready for whatever you want to strap to a Defender.

Wheels, tires & suspension

B-Lock 8x16 ET 0 wheels wrapped in BFG Mud Terrain 265/75/R16 tires. Suspension upgraded with Old Man Emu (OME) springs and air leveling.
